Tom Cullis, P.T., Former President of Mariners Physical Therapy, Inc., Costa Mesa, CA
Tom Cullis was an avid tennis player for many years when he developed a fracture in the carpal bones in his wrist. He underwent surgery to fuse the carpal bones, and doctors said he would never play tennis again. Six weeks after his surgery, he attended Caryl Washburn's workshop, using the CTExerciser as part of the Washburn Technique for rehabilitation. With a knot in his swollen hand, Cullis did not expect to be able to participate in the "hands-on" portion of the workshop. However, Caryl's techniques combined with the CTExerciser were so effective, that Cullis was not only able to participate, but he began using his hand and wrist again during the course of the workshop. Cullis purchased a CTExerciser and took it home with him. Within six weeks, he was able to carryout functional activities with the regular use of the CTExerciser as part of his therapy. Today, Cullis enjoys playing tennis again, despite the skepticism of doctors. "For early return of functional wrist and forearm motion, the CTExerciser is the practical and affordable solution."

James Reasoner, Author
Author James Reasoner dedicated his book, Lyron's Lament, to Caryl Washburn, who developed the CTExerciser, "…with thanks for keeping [him] typing." James is a professional writer. He had several deadlines when both hands shut down. Unable to use his hands at all, he was diagnosed with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. The doctor recommended bilateral surgery. However, instead of surgery, James chose to use the CTExerciser six times daily for three minutes at a time. With this as his only treatment, he eliminated the carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms, as well as neck pain. With the help of the CTExerciser, James was able to meet his deadlines without surgery or any other intervention. Today, he is still writing symptom free and using the CTExerciser.

Insurance Adjuster
"I am an insurance adjuster. A large company I represent was experiencing an escalation in lost time and surgeries for CTS. Caryl said she could help. Our employees stayed on the job during the course of therapy, the contract deadlines were met, and our worker compensation costs for CTS decreased 80% that year."

Kitty Bertlin, Administrative Assistant/Business Manager
"In the course of my job, I work at a computer over 5 hours each day. Needless to say, this wears on my wrists causing stress and pain. I was introduced to the CTExerciser a number of years ago and by exercising with it on a regular basis, I have been able to strengthen my wrists and alleviate the pain. I am very happy that I found the CTExerciser as I feel confident that it’s use has eliminated any need for surgery. I highly recommend its use by anyone who types or uses a computer for long periods of time.”

Sarah Anderson, Architect
"As an architect, I frequently sketch or use a keyboard at work. Using my hands all day began to cause inevitable pain and sensitivity in my hands and wrists, and I feared that my work performance could be in jeopardy. In order to alleviate the pain, I began to use the CTExerciser intermittently throughout the day to stretch and relax the muscles in my hands and wrists. After using the CTExerciser for the past two months, I have found there is less pain in my fingers and wrists. I have also found that I am able to work more efficiently. I am grateful for the CTExerciser because it is an effective therapeutic and easy to use tool for the treatment of overworked hands and wrists."
